Activities for Life at Frostburg State University will offer a Creative Movement class for children ages 3 to 5 years, as well as a Creative Movement II class for children ages 6 to 8 years, on Wednesdays, April 3 through May 8. Classes will be held in room 106 of the Cordts Physical Education Center.
The Creative Movement class for ages 3 to 5 will be from 5:15 to 6 p.m. and will introduce children to dance and movement. The class for ages 6 to 8 will follow from 6:15 to 7 p.m. and will emphasize the use of rhythm, space and awareness of movement. All students will learn fundamental skills and musicality and experience the use of props to enhance their movement learning. Dance attire, such as leotards, tights and ballet slippers or socks, is preferred. However, leggings, tight-fitting sweatpants and T-shirts are acceptable. Space is limited to 12 students for each class. Nicole Frost will be the instructor for these classes.
