Admission Criteria

The following criteria must be satisfied for successful admission into the program:

  • Unencumbered Maryland RN license
  • Completion of 32 credits of the FSU general education program requirements. Students are eligible for admission with Advanced Composition and two electives (Fine Arts, Identity and Difference, or Humanities) incomplete.
  • Completion of the following FSU courses or their equivalent from another institution:
    • ENGL 101 Freshman Composition*
    • MATH 102 College Algebra*
    • CHEM 101 General Chemistry I*
    • BIOL 201 Anatomy and Physiology I*
    • BIOL 202 Anatomy and Physiology II
    • PSYC 150 Introduction to Psychology*
    • SOCI 100 Introduction to Sociology*
    • BIOL 304 Microbiology
    • HEED 200 Nutrition
    • MATH 209 Elements of Probability and Statistics
    • SOWK 375 Human Behavior and the Social Environment OR ACM's Psychology 203 Human Growth and Development
