Coordinator Welcome

Welcome to FSU’s online RN-BSN Program!  Our program began in 2008 with faculty planning based on the American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s proposed Essentials of Baccalaureate Nursing Education.  With the approval of the Maryland Board of Nursing and the Maryland Higher Education Commission, our first semester started with students in fall 2009.  We started out as a small program, but we are rapidly growing.  While we are making our way through the accreditation process, we had to wait for our first graduating class this 2011 spring semester to continue in the process.

The RN-BSN Program is designed so that the student can complete their BSN as fast as four semesters or take as long as they would like to complete the program.  It is tailored to meet the needs of the working RN with family and community obligations in a convenient, affordable and accessible manner and to assist nurses in obtaining their bachelor’s degree.

We invite you to explore the website and get to know our program a little better.  When you are ready to get started give, us a call and we will be happy to answer all questions that you may have about the program.  The world of online learning may be a little intimidating and I am sure you are wondering how you will fit this into your busy life, but we have tools and resources in place, some that you can access right here on this site, to show you how manageable and possible your dream of obtaining your bachelor’s degree can be.
