It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Frostburg State University campus community.

The Parent Orientation Program recognizes that parents, guardians and other family members play a vital role
in the success of our students. It is designed to help you learn more about the many Frostburg State University services, organizations and educational opportunities
that are made available to our students.

These opportunities for academic and personal growth are essential to making your student’s experience the best it can be. Take a moment to read through Parent Orientation handbook (PDF) and note the many campus resources, organizations and other sources of support and assistance that are available. This handbook also includes an academic calendar, so you can keep track of important deadlines and events and stay informed of your student’s busy months ahead and the academic procedures that affect his or her success. Contact names and numbers are also provided, so you have a quick reference on hand for when you need to call or e-mail with additional questions or concerns.

We encourage you to stay in touch with us — and more importantly, with your students — as they embark on one of the most exciting and enriching times of their lives. With your encouragement and involvement, we can work together to guide and empower each and every student to achieve success.
