Goals of the Undergraduate Educational Initiative

Clarify and articulate the goals of undergraduate education at Frostburg
State University.

Specify measurable outcomes that we expect students to have achieved
by the time they graduate; this should be done in a manner that will
facilitate assessment.

Contain recommendations for retaining and expanding current practices
that are effective and consistent with the outcomes required of Undergraduate
Education.

Contain recommendations for suggested enhancements in or changes to:

Academic programs and curriculum (including the General Education Program)

Student-faculty interaction, pedagogy, and the architecture
of learning

Volunteerism and service learning

Mentorship and undergraduate research opportunities

Laboratory, simulation, and practicum experiences

Multicultural, international, and diversity curriculum and
experiences

Infusion of technological fluency across the curriculum

Honors education and opportunities both in the GEP and in majors
