This section contains several manuals and handbooks that
you will normally need. You can download the entire manual or individual
forms that are contained in the manuals. You will need Adobe
Acrobat Reader to download the information.
Although some of the information that is necessary for
the completion of the requirements is provided on this page, the manuals
contain additional information and procedures that students must complete.
Be sure to review the manuals for this information.
Internship
Manual: Whether you need the entire manual or just one form,
this section contains the current version of the internship manual for
downloading. In addition, several of the individual forms contained in
the manual that are most often used by students are also provided. You

Internship
Guide for the Agency and the Agency Supervisor: This manual
complements the internship manual which is orientated toward student internship
requirements. This manual assists the agency and the agency's supervisor
in what they need to do in order to provide a student with a good internship
experience. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to download the information.

Field
Experience in Recreation and Parks: Whether you need the entire
manual or just one form, this section contains the current version of
the field experience handbook for downloading. In addition to the full
manual, several of the individual forms contained in the handbook are
also provided. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to download the information.
Please note that you can register for one through six
credits of RECR 480, Field Experience in Recreation and Parks. Remember
that you need to complete 45 hours per credit (i.e. 135 hours for three
credits) and that if you take the course for three credits, you will normally
need to schedule on average between 10-12 hours a week.

Out-of-Class
Requirements: You need to complete the following three requirements:
- complete 120 hours of experiences in at least three
different experiences,
- obtain a first aid and CPR certification, and
- attend a professional conference at the state, regional
or national level.
Also students should register for RECR 497, Out-of-Class
Requirements the semester that they plan to complete the requirements.

Memorandum - Use
this cover sheet to summarize all of your experiences. (Required)
Agency Form -
Use this form to summarize and document your experiences. One form is
required for each experience. (Required)
First Aid and
CPR Form - Use this form to document completion of your first aid
and CPR. (Required)
Conference Form
- Use this form to document the completion of your attendance at a conference.
Practicum
Equivalence Form - Use this form, if you have completed an approved
supervised practicum at the community college. (Check with instructors
regarding suitability).
