FAQ

I am a teacher and want to know how do I arrange to bring my school class to a daytime performance?
Teachers interested in bringing their class to the daytime school performances should contact: Educational Outreach Coordinator at 301-687-7420 or cesoutreach@frostburg.edu.

How do I get to Frostburg State University Performing Arts Center?
Frostburg State University is located in the beautiful mountains of Western Maryland. Traveling on I 68, take Exit 33, Frostburg. Turn onto Braddock Road towards Frostburg and travel about one mile to the main entrance to the FSU campus, on the left. After turning left, make an immediate right into the parking lot and proceed to parking in front of the Performing Arts Center.

What is your inclement weather policy?
In case of inclement weather, please call the Box Office at 301.687.3137 or the University Information Desk at 301.687.4411 for updates on performances. If a performance is cancelled, every effort will be made to exchange tickets for an alternate or rescheduled performance, or refunds will be issued.

What is the etiquette for late arrival?
To minimize interruptions, late arrivals will be admitted at an appropriate break or intermission based on the performance and at the discretion of the staff. Late arrivals may be seated in a convenient seat and moved at intermission to their reserved ticketed seat.

May I bring my children?
As a courtesy to audience members and performers, please use discretion regarding a young child’s ability to sit quietly and enjoy a performance. Audience members with restless children will be asked to take them to the lobby as a courtesy to other patrons. The length and content of certain performances may require us to restrict admission of children. Although efforts to convey this restriction will occur at the time the tickets are purchased, the staff reserves the right to restrict admission of children at the door. All persons, regardless of age, must have a ticket for admission.

Who should I contact if I need special accommodations?
Unless otherwise stated, seating is reserved. Requests for specific seating will be filled based on availability. Patrons wishing to be seated together should order at the same time. FSU is committed to making all of its programs, services and activities accessible to persons with disabilities. Please advise the ticket agent PRIOR to purchasing tickets when special seating is required. The Box Office will direct your request for special accommodations through the ADA Compliance Office, 301.687.4102, TDD 301.687.7955.

Do you offer any discounts?
FSU students and employees who present a current FSU ID at the box office window will receive a discounted price to specified performances.

Do you provide transportation for FSU students to off-campus events?
Transportation is available for any FSU student purchasing a ticket to an off-campus performance. Inquire at the Box Office for reservations.

Can I purchase a gift certificate?
Gift certificates are available in any amount and may be used for any performance, but may be redeemed only at the box office or by mail.

Gift certificates are the perfect present for that special someone. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, promotion or the holidays, the gift of live performance provides your friends and family with a memorable experience.

Do you offer group pricing?
Don’t miss a great opportunity to share an evening of live performance with your friends and family. A 30% discount is available on adult general public tickets when purchased as a single transaction of 15 or more tickets for a single performance.

Do you offer corporate rates?
