About the the Trident Initiative at FSU

The Trident Initiative is a comprehensive and innovative program that enhances the current Entrepreneurship/Small Business program at Frostburg State University significantly by involving multiple stakeholders:

(1) current students, through practice and networking;

(2) faculty within the region, through research on regional small business issues;

(3) alumni, through mentoring and providing opportunities for internship;

(4) entrepreneurs, through mentoring and fostering a climate of entrepreneurial inventiveness; and

(5) networks of investors comprising of alumni, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists for supporting and implementing student projects with market potential.

As such, these efforts take students well beyond the classroom and give them significant opportunities to transform their business ideas into reality.
