The University accepts applications on a rolling basis, starting on September 15 until there is no further space for students.
High school applicants should apply in the fall or early winter of their senior year (recommended no later than February 1) for priority scholarship and housing consideration. Applications received after that will be considered on a space-available basis.
Early Decision is the best option if you are a high school senior and you are 100% certain that FSU is the college you would like to attend. In this case, you must apply by December 15. If you are admitted to FSU under this option, you must withdraw all other college applications and pay a non-refundable $150 tuition deposit by February 1. If Financial Aid will be a factor in your decision to attend FSU, you should not apply as early decision.
Freshman Admission for the Spring Semester
The University does accept applications from first-year students who would like to begin in the spring semester. Applications will be considered if received no later than December 1 for the following spring semester. Admission is granted on a space-available basis.
Transfer Student Deadlines
Students who attended post-secondary institutions after graduating from high school are considered transfer students.
