Why FSU? I spoke with many professors and staff here before I was a student and they were all unbelievably friendly, helpful, and willing to go out of their way to meet with me or give me information or advice. I continue to see this kindness countless times since I’ve been here from teachers, staff, other students, and almost everyone I encounter. The small class sizes allow professors to extend this kindness further to help you better understand the material whether through class discussions or extra help.
Also I love that Frostburg offers so many different ways to get involved, and I am always finding out about organizations and activities on campus that I would like to be a part of or help out with. I chose to come to Frostburg from New Hampshire because of Frostburg’s beautiful campus and the mountains. I love being able to take in my surroundings every time I step outside. I love the friendly, small town atmosphere, which reminds me a lot of home.

Life after the Burg
Here at Frostburg I am currently working on defining my goals and plans for the future. I hope to find myself working hands on with the outdoors, promoting sustainability, preserving the natural environment, and helping to bring positive change to my surroundings. Every experience here will bring more opportunities for my life after. I am certain my education at FSU will help me create a definitive path with the tools and skills necessary to achieve my goals.
