Award Letters When a student applies for financial aid, the financial aid office notifies the student of his or her financial aid eligibility by sending out an award notification. Award notifications list the amounts and types of financial aid that each particular student is eligible to receive. It also includes instructions on how to accept, reject, or reduce each award. By following the instructions to accept a financial aid award, the student is acknowledging that he or she agrees to the conditions of the award, and is aware of the university's policies concerning financial aid and academic performance. It is the responsibility of the student to read and understand the academic standards as published in the undergraduate/graduate catalog. The webpages entitled "Award Philosophy," "Satisfactory Academic Progress," and "Withdraw Policy" include important information every student must read and understand before accepting any type of financial aid. By accepting any form of financial aid, the student is agreeing to these terms and conditions. To access the "Award Philosophy," "Conditions of Awards," "Satisfactory Academic Progress," or "Withdraw Policy" section of this website, please make a selection below. Enrollment Status
All undergraduate students who are less than full-time (12 credits) and all graduate students who are more than 6 credits are responsible for notifying the Financial Aid Office of their intended enrollment status before the start of each semester. All financial aid awards offered to undergraduate students are based on full-time enrollment status, unless the Financial Aid Office is notified otherwise. Undergraduate students who are less than full-time, and do not notify the Financial Aid Office of their correct enrollment status, will have their financial aid awards reduced at a later time. Once these reductions take place, students are responsible for all University charges that are no longer covered by financial aid. All financial aid awards offered to graduate students are based on part-time enrollment status, unless the Financial Aid Office is notified otherwise. To notify the Financial Aid Office of your intended enrollment status, please select the "Enrollment Status Change Form" below, complete it, and return it to the Financial Aid Office. For the Financial Aid Office's contact information, please select "Contact Us" at the top of this page. |
