Borden Mining Company Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants must be a full-time graduate or undergraduate student,
3.0 grade point average with a declared major in one of the following:
biology, chemistry, geography, physics or engineering. Applicants must
have demonstrated interest in research projects as shown by previous
scholarship or research or membership or by avocation. A preference
is given to projects associated with mining concerns including but not
limited to reclamation, water quality, wildlife and environmental planning.
Preference given to a Frostburg resident, defined as residing in the
21532 zip code area. The award may be received for two consecutive years.

Walter Brock Endowed Scholarship

Criteria: The recipient must be a declared environmental analysis and
planning major, a full-time sophomore or junior at the time of application
with a minimum FSU cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or an overall
3.2 transferable grade point average. Preference given to renewal applicants.
In the event of equally qualified applicants a preference will be given
to high school graduates from schools in Allegany, Garrett counties
in Maryland; Mineral, Hampshire counties in West Virginia; and Bedford,
Somerset counties in Pennsylvania.

Edith J. and William H. Bullamore Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: The recipient must be a sophomore, junior or senior, and a
declared major in urban and regional planning. Applicants must have
a demonstrated interest in urban planning, as shown by previous scholarship,
or research, or membership, or internship, or by avocation. A minimum
cumulative grade point average of 3.0 is required. Awards may be received
for a maximum of two years based on annual application. In the event
of equally qualified applicants, preference will be given to applicants
with a demonstrated commitment to planning and campus leadership.

Garden Club of Cumberland Scholarship

Criteria: The recipient must be a full-time sophomore, junior, or senior
with a declared major in environmental analysis & planning, earth
sciences, biology or wildlife & fisheries and/or a minor in environmental
humanities or environmental policy. The applicants must demonstrate
interest in the protection of the environment. A minimum FSU cumulative
grade point average of 3.0 is required. Awards may be received for two
consecutive years if an overall grade point average of 3.0 or better
is maintained. The recipient must be willing to participate in activities
and programs of the Garden Club. Preference will be given to a resident
of the Cumberland, Maryland area (within a 60 mile radius). In the event
of equally qualified applicants a preference will be given to those
with demonstrated academic ability.

Ivan Diehl Geography Scholarship

Criteria: The recipient must have a declared major in a program administered
by the Geography Department with a completed minimum of 9 hours in geography
and at least 45 credit hours total. A minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point
average in the major and a minimum cumulative 3.0 FSU grade point average
is required. Preference will be given to entering junior students. Once
awarded the scholarship may be maintained for up to four semesters or
until graduation as long as other eligibility criteria are met.

Todd Erik Wolf Scholarship

or senior at the time of application with a grade point average of 3.0
or above in all geography courses.
