The Coach Ken Babcock Fund Scholarship

Criteria: The recipient must be a junior or senior with a declared major
in health and physical education teacher certification, and must demonstrate
participation in extra-curricular activities with on-campus organizations
or volunteer work with off-campus programs. Involvement with youth related
sports programs by volunteer coaching is giving the highest significance.
A minimum cumulative grade point average 3.0 is required. Awards may
be received for two consecutive years if an overall grade point average
of 3.0 or better is maintained. Preference will be given to applicants
from Allegany or Garrett counties. In the event of equally qualified
applicants a preference will be given to those with demonstrated financial
need.

Harold and Jeanne Cordts Scholarship

Criteria: The recipient should be junior or senior major in health and
physical education, with preference given to full-time foreign graduate students majoring in health and physical education. An overall grade point average of at least 3.25 is required. The recipient must demonstrate
personal integrity and professional excellence and must set
high standards of honesty and sincerity. The award may be received
for two years, though the donors primary preference is to benefit
as
many individuals as possible. Preference will be given to applicants
with demonstrated need.

Russell & Penny Younkers Academic Support Scholarship

Criteria: The purpose of the fund is to provide a stipend for a graduate
or undergraduate student with assigned duties to monitor the academic
progress of students in the men's soccer program. Recipient may be enrolled
full or part-time and must posses a demonstrated ability to conduct
academic monitoring projects. Preference will be given to past or present
student assistants in the men's soccer program or past participation
as a player as well as to those with demonstrated experience in academic
counseling. Active players in the men's soccer program are not eligible
to apply.
