Annual Fund Achievement/Physics Scholarship
Department/Contact: Physics/Department Chair
Criteria: The recipient must be an entering freshman with a demonstrated
ability in science and the intention to major in physics or engineering.
This award is non-renewable.

Roscoe Bartlett Scholarship
Department/Contact: Physics/Department Chair
Criteria: The recipient must be a full-time student with a declared
major in biology/chemistry/ physics or engineering and a resident of
the Sixth Congressional District (Allegany, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett,
Howard or Washington counties of Maryland). The applicant must have
an overall GPA of 3.0 or above and a 3.5 GPA in the major. A preference
is given to renewal applicants. Demonstrated need may be a determining
factor.

Borden Mining Company Scholarship
- In Honor of Albert and Elizabeth Borden
Department/Contact: CLAS/Associate Dean
Criteria: Applicants must be a full-time graduate or undergraduate
student, 3.0 grade point average with a declared major one of the
following: biology, chemistry, geography, physics or engineering.
Applicants must have demonstrated interest in research projects as
shown by previous scholarship or research or membership or by avocation.
A preference is given to projects associated with mining concerns
including but not limited to reclamation, water quality, wildlife
and environmental planning. Preference given to a Frostburg resident,
defined as residing in the 21532 zip code area. The award may be received
for two consecutive years.

Tam Student Science Research Award
Department/Contact: Physics/Department Chair
Criteria: The recipient must be a junior or senior at FSU with a declared
major in physics, engineering, chemistry, or pre-professional program.
Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in science research as
shown by previous laboratory experience and by the submission of an
approved topic of research.
Deadline: March 1
Anthony Wai Chiu Tam Upper Division Scholarship
Department/Contact: Physics/Department Chair
Criteria: The recipient must be a junior or senior at the time of receiving
the award; a physics or 3/2 engineering major; carrying a 3.0 grade
point average in all physics courses and demonstrating an interest in
international education. The recipient should be an outstanding scholar.
