Criteria: The recipient will meet the eligibility requirements of the
internship program as established by the Political Science Department
and the J. Glenn Beall Jr., Public Affairs Institute. The stipend will
be used to assist students participating in a recognized internship.

Paul J. Creamer Memorial Scholarship
Department/Contact: Political Science/Department Chair
Criteria: The recipient must be a declared major in political science
with demonstrated academic ability.

C. Walter Howe Memorial Political Science Scholarship
Department/Contact: Political Science/Department Chair
Criteria: The recipient must be a declared political science major who
is a junior at time of application with an overall grade point average
of 3.0 and a departmental grade point average 3.25 or above. "Effort"
will be weighted more critically than grade point average. Preference
will be given to applicants showing an interest in civil rights, affirmative
action or other contemporary issues. Financial need may be a determining
factor.
