HallSTARS! Program Description

Forty Five (45) outstanding FSU students committed to the concept of service in their communities, and enrolled for the upcoming academic year, will be selected to participate in the HallSTARS! experience.
HallSTARS! is more than just a service program. HallSTARS! is a community of students taking responsibility, learning valuable skills, and getting involved in their community. This program may be for you if you are interested in one or more of the following:

• Do you want to become a part of America’s National Service movement?
  
  
• Do you want to live in a community of students committed to making a change?
  
  
• Are you passionate about youth, families, or the environment?
  
  
• Could you use $500.00 towards your on campus living expenses?

The HallSTARS! program is a unique, residential based living-learning-serving environment designed to integrate community service activities and educational coursework within at Frostburg State University. Students will serve twice a week as well as serve at two Special Projects a semester, receive training, complete General Education Program (GEP) academic courses, and receive a $500.00 housing stipend from FSU.
