Welcome to Frostburg State University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences website.  With 18 departments across the arts and humanities, health, natural, and social sciences, and technology, we offer a range of 33 undergraduate programs.  Our five master degree programs are in Applied Computer Science, Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology, Counseling Psychology, Nursing, and Wildlife and Fisheries Biology.

We are committed to providing students with hands-on learning through labs, study abroad, undergraduate research, faculty mentoring, outreach, and creative performance and production with several state-of-the-art facilities and creative spaces.  The college mission is implemented through a diverse, recognized, credentialed faculty committed to excellence in student-centered learning, scholarship or creative artistic production, and service.

In addition to strong General Education offerings, we have an array of interdisciplinary, cultural, and accredited programs that respond to emerging societal needs.  Students are exposed to applicable curriculum in: climate, global, and mapping systems; communication studies and mass communication; computer security; law and society; music, theatre and dance; physician assistant offerings; professional writing; social work; visual arts; and many other areas.

Please explore our website and visit our campus to learn more about our offerings for student accomplishment and success.  Feel free to contact us if you have questions.
