Stefanie Hay, Ed.D., RN

Stefanie Hay

Dr. Hay is an Associate Professor of the Nursing Program at Frostburg State University (FSU). She works on campus teaching face-to-face and online courses in the RN to BSN and MSN programs. Her educational background is an Associate Degree in Nursing from Allegany College of Maryland, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing with a master’s specialty in Nursing Education from Thomas Edison State College, and a Doctor of Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from Frostburg State University.

Dr. Hay has gained her nursing experience as a staff nurse in med-surg, ICU, and private pediatric practice. Additionally, she has gained her nursing education experience as a clinical and classroom instructor at a local community college program prior to her start with FSU.

Dr. Hay views education as a lifelong process where the student and instructor are actively engaging together within the learning environment. Dr. Hay believes online education is an awesome, flexible way for working nurses to achieve their education goals. She enjoys this environment and has earned both her BSN and MSN within this virtual environment. She looks forward to working and interacting with students throughout the program.
