Meeting Accommodations

Lane Center Meeting RoomThe Lane University Center serves as the primary location for meetings, seminars, and break-out sessions. Included in this modern, air-conditioned facility are five meeting rooms with capacities of 12-20, each with a self-contained audiovisual unit (blackboard/screen/corkboard); one room with audience-style capacity of 35 and dinners of 20; a larger meeting room providing the flexibility of audience-style sessions for 135 or banquets of 100, with darkening curtains, electrically- operated projection screen, infinite-control lighting, and adjacent banquet kitchen. The Multi-Use Room can seat 700 audience-style or 500 at a served banquet, can be divided into three different areas, and has in-room sound, electrically- operated projection screen, darkening curtains, and outdoor patio.

In addition to the Lane University Center, meetings and workshops can easily be accommodated in several of the University's academic buildings, including:
 

  • Ort Library - Meeting room with 50-person capacity
  • Dunkle Hall, Compton Science Center, Gira Center, Guild Center - auditorium- style seating from 80-195; and a variety of classrooms
  • Framptom Hall, Gunter Hall, Fine Arts, Old Main - a variety of classrooms
  • Performing Art Center - Recital Hall seating 458, Drama Theater seating 334, studio theater seating 150, and a variety of classrooms and rehearsal space.

 

Classrooms and seminar rooms can also be utilized, depending on the needs of your group.

Equipment available to complement your meetings include easels, flipcharts, and a wide variety of the latest audiovisual equipment.  FSU also offers computer labs or IVN rooms for remote feed or other AV capabilities.

A rental fee is charged for use of all meeting facilities. Please see the schedule within the Rates page. There may be a rental charge on A/V equipment if it is not standard in the room, or a labor charge.  In all cases, the Director of Conferences & Events works closely with you and the building/services providers toward an estimate before the event, and a well-planned event to the point where additional charges are rare.
