FSU graduate programs offer you the opportunity to advance or change careers. We have graduate programs in business, education and liberal arts and sciences, some designed for full-time study while others are designed for the working professional. Most of our part-time, non-residential graduate programs offer courses in the evening or in an online or blended format so that you can find the balance between professional, personal and academic life.

Our programs in education are offered in two locations: our main campus in Frostburg and at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown located in downtown Hagerstown, MD.

Admission Requirements

You may be granted degree program admission if you have a strong undergraduate academic record and appear to have potential for successful completion of a graduate program. Degree program admission is based on the following criteria

  • Completion of an application for admission to graduate study as a degree program student.
  • Submission of official transcripts of all previous graduate work and a transcript certifying the completion of a baccalaureate degree. This must be an official transcript sent directly to the Office of Graduate Services from the degree-granting institution or provided in a sealed envelope.
  • Supplemental documents. Each graduate degree program has specific admission requirements, which are detailed on their respective web pages. Use the links below to find the specifics for your program of interest.
