Bobcat Bound Day

All new, first-year students are required to attend a Bobcat Bound orientation. During Bobcat Bound, students and their families learn about life at FSU and campus resources. Students also meet with an academic advisor. All students will leave with their Fall 2026 class schedule and their student ID!

Bobcat Bound 2026 is happening on:

  • Saturday, June 6th
  • Tuesday, June 9th
  • Thursday, June 11th
  • Monday, June 15th
  • Saturday, July 18th

All Bobcat Bound days run from 9:00am-3:30pm

If a student is unable to make any of these dates due to extenuating circumstances, they should contact the Office of Admissions to arrange an alternative orientation process.

Students will receive an email with instructions on how to register for Bobcat Bound in mid-April 2026. If you have any questions about registering for Bobcat Bound, please contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.

Transfer Student Dates

Bobcat Bound new student orientation is optional for transfer students. At new student orientation, you will get an opportunity to connect with the offices on campus that will help you find success during your first year on campus. You will get one-on-one advising if you choose to attend orientation or if you decide to work out an individual appointment with your advisor.

FAQ

What is Bobcat Bound?

Bobcat Bound is Frostburg State University’s new student orientation. During the event, you will learn more about campus, get your student ID card, and a class schedule for your first semester at Frostburg State. You will meet with faculty and other incoming students in your discipline!

Is it mandatory?

Bobcat Bound is mandatory for all first time students. Orientation is optional but highly recommended for transfer students. The morning will include information on important policies and campus resources, opportunities to meet other transfer students, and campus tours.

Where is it?

Each Bobcat Bound will happen on campus in the Lane University Center. Students and parents will receive any location/event updates via email and text message. You will park in the Pullen/Performing Arts Center parking lot and follow event signs to Lane!

How do I get more information?

Students will receive email communication at the email we have on their application. If you would like make updates, please text 301-835-2528 or email fsuadmissions@frostburg.edu. Parents will also receive email communication, if we have your information. If you are a parent who isn't already receiving parent communications, text PARENT to 301-835-2528 to sign up.
