Swan Lake

Tuesday, March 8 at 7:30 PM
Drama Theatre, Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center

Set to Tchaikovsky's haunting score, this tragic tale of betrayal, redemption and eternal love has enchanted audiences across the world since its Moscow premiere more than 100 years ago. The ballet tells the story of the swan queen, Odette - a beautiful maiden transformed into a swan by an evil sorcerer - and the prince who swears his enduring love for her.

Founded in Moscow in the late 1980s, Russian National Ballet tours internationally under the direction of former Bolshoi Ballet soloist, Elena Radchenko. Featuring a roster of more than 50 dancers, the company dedicates itself to the presentation of enduring masterworks from the classical Russian repertory.
