Marc Lawrence received a BS degree from Towson State University.  While attending TSU as a drumset student, Marc had the privilege of private weekly lessons with renowned acoustic bassist Drew Gress and being part of the faculty jazz quartet, as well as performing weekly in Baltimore with Drew Gress and guitarist Derek Day.  In addition while attending TSU, Marc performed regularly with the funk and soul band Tony Berry and New Money where he had the pleasure of playing a set with AC/DC singer Brian Johnson.

Upon graduating, Marc landed a gig with Baltimore singer/songwriter Sonia of Disappear Fear where he toured across the US for three and a half years.  Some highlights include:  recording in Las Angeles with Bruce Springsteen’s pianist/producer Roy Bittan, recording in Nashville under the production of grammy award winning drummer Craig Cramph, performing in Central Park NY and the mall in Washington DC, and playing a set with the Indigo Girls at Wolftrap.

Marc has performed in various projects since moving to Western Maryland where he enjoys his life as a husband, father, performer, teacher, and businessman.

You must audition on Thursday, February 15, 2018 to be considered for any music scholarships.
