Armstrong Ranked in National Field Hockey Statistics

FROSTBURG, MD — Field hockey sophomore Bissy Armstrong (Perryville/Port Deposit, Md.) is currently ranked in two categories in the national statistics released on October 27th.

Armstrong, a defender, is tied for 13th in the nation with six defensive saves and is also tied for 17th in defensive saves per game with .353. Armstrong, who also had six defensive saves last season as a freshman, has started 16 of the 17 games she has played in this season and 35 of 36 in her career.

"Bissy is a huge part of our defensive unit. She has made crucial saves thorughout the season which has kept us in games," said Head Coach Nicole Bonvouloir.

Frostburg State ends its season this weekend at the Houghton tournament, playing Washington & Jefferson on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and a game TBA on Saturday.
