Baseball Edges Pitt-Bradford to Stay Alive in AMCC Tournament

ERIE, PA - Frostburg State defeated Pitt-Bradford, 5-4, in its third game of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships Saturday afternoon.

The Bobcats will now take on top-seeded Penn State Behrend in the first championship game later today. A win by Penn State Behrend would give the Lions their second straight title, while FSU needs to win to force a second championship game between the same two teams to be played Sunday morning.

Against Pitt-Bradford, the Bobcats (31-9-1) scored a run in the first inning, two in the second and two in the third before holding off a late Panther charge.

Freshman Mike Tiller (Potomac/Dumfries, Va.) picked up the win and junior Chris McGarvey (Glendale/Fallentimber, Pa.) got the save.

If the Bobcats beat Penn State Behrend in today's 4 pm contest, both FSU and PSB will have a 2-1 tournament record and will face off in a decisive contest on Sunday at noon.
