Baseball Ranked in Both Region Polls

FROSTBURG, Md. — Frostburg State is ranked seventh and eighth in the Mid-Atlantic Region, respectively, by the American Baseball Coaches Association and the NCAA according to both polls released this week.

This marks the second time this season that the Bobcats (28-13) have been ranked seventh in the region by the ABCA.

Frostburg State as a team is also ranked among the nation’s leaders in many statistical categories. FSU is fifth in the country in home runs per game (.95), 11th in slugging percentage (0.501), 21st in doubles per game (2.33) and 25th in fielding percentage (.963).

The Bobcats travel to the 2007 Allegheny Mountain CollegiateConference Tournament Final Four this weekend, May 11-13, at La Roche.
