Best Master of Science in Nursing Lists FSU’s Online RN-BSN Among Top 50 in the Country

Best Master of Science in Nursing Lists FSU’s Online RN-BSN Among Top 50 in the Country

Best Master of Science in Nursing Degrees, an online resource of accredited programs, has ranked Frostburg State University number 13 of the 50 most affordable, competitive colleges for online RN-BSN degrees in the nation in recent weeks.

The focus of the study was to choose accredited schools offering RN-BSN pathways. Best Master of Science in Nursing ranked the online RN-BSN degree programs based on accreditation, maximum percentage of applicants admitted and the lowest tuition price for each program.

The maximum percent of applicants admitted was no more than 60 percent. Seventy-six schools within the United States were reviewed. All schools examined are state-board approved.

After the school and program criteria were evaluated, schools were ranked in order of affordability based on the most recent tuition price listed on the school website, or as published by the U.S. Department of Education Institute of Education Science, National Center for Education Statistics (College Navigator). The schools listed do not exceed an annual tuition rate of $18,500; FSU is one of 33 schools examined that offer annual tuition rates of less than $10,000.

FSU’s RN-BSN program is an affordable degree program designed for working registered nurses who want to earn their bachelor’s degree in nursing. The online format allows students to complete the degree requirements in as little as 18 months. Part-time and full-time options are available. CCNE accredits the nursing program and the RN to BSN degree option is recognized as a Best Buy by U.S. News and World Report ranks FSU 125th among the Best Regional Universities in the South and the 46th Best College for Veterans. All courses in the program have been certified by Quality Matters or are in the process of certification.

FSU strives to provide accessible, affordable, quality online education to decrease the barriers that often keep nurses from coming back to school or from pursuing an online degree by way of a comprehensive online assessment, test courses, tutorials and resources.
