Bumgarner Named AMCC Player of the Week in Volleyball

Pittsburgh, PA — Frostburg State junior Kelli Bumgarner (Calvert/Chesapeake Beach, Md.) was named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week, for her play in helping the Bobcats win their fifth conference tournament final in the past six years.

Bumgarner had 23 kills and 28 digs for FSU during the conference tournament, and averaged 3.1 kills per game for the week. She is leading the team with a 26.6% hitting percentage on the season and is second on the team with 341 kills. This is the third time this season that Frostburg State has had a player of the week in volleyball.

The Bobcats have finished their regular-season with a 25-9 overall record, and are now awaiting word on a post-season tournament berth.
