Burkhardt, Voneiff Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

FROSTBURG, Md. — Frostburg State senior Candi Burkhardt (Baltimore, Md./Parkville) and junior Kari Voneiff (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) were both named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association 2005 National Honor Roll, it was announced recently.

The two were among 201 student-athletes to earn the honor. To be eligible, student-athletes must have achieved junior or senior standing academically, be members of their school’s varsity lacrosse team and have earned a GPA of at least 3.2 for the spring semester.

Burkhardt started all 17 games for FSU last spring and collected 36 ground ball, caused 16 turnovers and added three draw controls. She is majoring in health and physical education.

Voneiff saw action in eight games and posted seven ground balls, one caused turnover, one draw control. She is majoring in elementary education and minoring in mathematics.
