Burrough, Oatts Earn ACFC Weekly Honors

DOVER, DE — Frostburg State junior quarterback Grant Burrough (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) and sophomore defensive back Curan Oatts (Columbia, Md./Atholton) were each honored by the Atlantic Central Football Conference for their strong performances in the Bobcats' 35-14 win over Ursinus last Saturday.

Burrough took home his second straight ACFC Offensive Player of the Week honor after completing 21-of-30 passes for 281 and two touchdowns. His two touchdowns passes gives him a school-record 17 for the season, surpassing the former mark of 16 set by Jobie Waldt in 1982.

Burrough, who has set six school records (five single-game, one single-season) and one ACFC record this year, now has 35 career touchdowns passes, just four shy of the school's all-time mark held by Waldt and Jason Henry.

Oatts picked up his first ACFC weekly honor after setting career-highs with nine tackles and two interceptions in the victory.

His first pick came at the FSU 1-yard line in the closing seconds of the first half and preserved the Bobcats' 14-7 halftime lead, and he returned his second interception 44 yards for his first career touchdown to seal the game.

Salisbury freshman quarterback Dustin Johnson was named the ACFC Rookie of the Week after accounting for 249 total yards and three touchdowns in a 31-6 league win over Apprentice.

Johnson ran 20 times for 181 yards and a pair of scores, and he also completed 4-of-7 passes for 68 yards and another touchdown as the 20th-ranked Sea Gulls improved to 7-0.
