Carpenter Named AMCC Volleyball Player of the Week

GIBSONIA, PA — Frostburg State volleyball senior Jodi Carpenter (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) earned her second Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week honor Monday.

The middle blocker, who led the Bobcats to a perfect 6-0 week, averaged 4.1 kills per game and 1.1 blocks per game while posting a .572 hitting percentage. She currently leads the AMCC in hitting percentage (.395) and ranks fifth in kills per game (3.68).

As a team, FSU is ranked seventh in NCAA Div. III with a .289 hitting percentage and 14th with 3.01 blocks per game.

FSU has won 12 straight matches, including the last 11 by 3-0 scores, and is 22-4 overall and 5-0 in the AMCC.

The Bobcats compete in the Salisbury Invitational this weekend.
