Center for Creative Writing Brings Poet to FSU

Center for Creative Writing Brings Poet to FSU
Frostburg State University’s Center for Creative Writing presents poet Alicia Ostriker at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the Cook Chapel on the FSU campus. This event is free and open to the public. A book signing and reception will follow.

Ostriker’s voice has been acknowledged as a major force in American poetry. Ostriker’s eleventh collection “No Heaven” takes a hint from John Lennon’s “Imagine.” Her previous collections of poetry include “The Imaginary Lover,” winner of the William Carlos Williams Award, and “The Crack in Everything” and “The Little Space: Poems Selected and New,” both National Book Award finalists.
