CES at Frostburg State University will present a spring lineup featuring international artists from the worlds of jazz, ballet and musical theatre for the second half of its 2015-16 series.

The musicians of Well-Strung appear as part of the On the EDGE series on Thursday, March 3, at 8:15 p.m. in the Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall in FSU’s Lane University Center. Part boy band and part classical string quartet, Well-Strung presents mash-ups of classical and pop as they seamlessly blend Mozart and Dvo?ák with artists like Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson and Adele. Appearances on “The Today Show” and “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” as well as features in The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed and New York Magazine have earned them a steadily increasing fan base.

The performance of “Flashdance – The Musical,” on Thursday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the FSU Performing Arts Center Drama Theatre, is sold out.

Classical ballet fans will benefit from two performances of the Moscow Festival Ballet in “The Sleeping Beauty” at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, and Thursday, March 24, in the PAC Drama Theatre. Under the artistic direction of former Bolshoi Ballet soloist Sergei Radchenko, the company of Russian-trained artists brings life to one of everyone’s favorite fairy tales. Featuring Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s masterful score, “The Sleeping Beauty” is certain to enchant young and old alike.

The Zuzu African Acrobats perform on Thursday, April 21, at 8:15 p.m. in Lane Manicur Hall as part of the On the EDGE series. Hailing from Mombasa, Kenya, the Zuzu African Acrobats are fast-paced and full of energy. The group’s lively and astonishing performance includes pyramid building, limbo, contortion, bottle balancing, tumbling, chair stacks and balancing. They have been featured on “America’s Got Talent” and “The Late Show With David Letterman” and have performed at three Super Bowls.

On Saturday, April 23, the spirited jazz band The Hot Sardines presents a LIVE! at StarScape club performance. The Sardines’ style recalls the heady atmosphere of Prohibition-era speakeasies and Parisian nightclubs. Boston’s Patriot Ledger praised the Sardines, saying that they’re “not so much reviving standards, as taking defib paddles to them and jolting them back to life.”
