Children's Book Author Linda Oatman High to Speak at FSU

As part of its Spring Author Series, the Children's Literature Centre at Frostburg State University will present author Linda Oatman High on Tuesday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Tawes Hall room 232.

Her presentation, entitled "Writing to the Beat of a Different Drummer," will include her books "Under New York," "Winter Shoes for Shadow Horse," "A Humble Life: Plain Poems" and "The Last Chimney of Christmas Eve."

Noted for her poetic style, High is the author of numerous children's books. Her writings have appeared in such children's publications as Children's Digest, Hopscotch and Highlights for Children. She frequently offers writing workshops and classes, presents a weekly radio program on Book Crazy Radio Network and is a board member of the Highlights Foundation.
