Comedian Nick Swardson to Perform - NOTE DATE CHANGE

Nick Swardson will bring his comedy act to Frostburg State University on SATURDAY, SEPT. 25, at 9 p.m. in the Manicur Assembly Hall of the Lane University Center.

Swardson started standup at the age of 18. In his first year, he was chosen to perform at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. Over the next couple years, Swardson established himself in some of the major clubs across the country. He then moved to New York and became a regular at the Comic Strip, Caroline’s and Luna Lounge. He also compiled numerous appearances on “The Tonight Show,” “Conan O’Brian,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Real Time with Bill Maher” and “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn.” In 2000, he hit a milestone in his career when he taped his Comedy Central hour-long special at the age of 22 (the youngest to do so).

Swardson then moved to L.A. to focus on his acting and writing and in the summer of 2003, Warner Brothers green lit a script he wrote with Jamie Kennedy called “Suckaz” which then became “Malibu’s Most Wanted.” Swardson is currently working with Adam Sandler and his company Happy Madison Productions on several comedy films and a pilot for the WB network. He also helped write and perform on Sandler’s fifth comedy CD “Sshhh.. Don’t Tell.” You can also see Swardson in a recurring role as ‘Terry’ on “Reno 911” on Comedy Central.
