Cousin Named STX/NFHCA Regional All-American

GLEN ALLEN, VA — Frostburg State sophomore goalie Kristin Cousin (South River/Edgewater, Md.) has been named to the STX/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III All-South Region First Team.

Cousin, who started 18 out of 20 games, led the Bobcats in every major goalkeeping category this season.

She was first in wins (5), saves (144) and minutes played (1,201.52).

"Kristin was the backbone of our defense and kept us in a lot of games this season," said Head Coach Nicole Bonvouloir. "She was especially strong when her teammates needed her to be."

Cousin was ranked as high as 13th in the country for total number of saves during the season and finished just outside of the top 20 in the final rankings.

"I look forward to having Kristin for two more years," added Bonvouloir. "She is a special player who can help take us to the next level."

Cousin is the 20th FSU field hockey player to earn first-team regional All-America honors since 1982.
