Culbert Named to Two Senior All-Star Football Games

FROSTBURG, Md. — Frostburg State redshirt-senior defensive end Kevin Culbert (Purcellville, Va./Loudoun Valley) has been named to two senior all-star bowl games.

Culbert was selected to play for the North squad of the East Coast Bowl in Petersburg, Virginia on Saturday November, 26 at noon. This game normally tries to gather the top Division I-AA and Division II talent on the east coast.

Kevin was also selected to play in the Aztec Bowl on December 17 in Toluca, Mexico. This bowl is comprised of a Division III all-star team that travels to Mexico to battle a team of that counrty's top college players.

“I am very excited for Kevin,” said head coach Rubin Stevenson. “He has been a great student-athlete here at Frostburg State and has had an outstanding season for us. Kevin deserves everything he has gotten this year.”

Past FSU players that have participated in the Aztec Bowl include Roy Olson (2003), George O’Brien (2002), and Buddy Edmonds (1997).
