Dare Named AMCC Women's Tennis Player of the Week

FROSTBURG, Md. — Frostburg State freshman Reidon Dare (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week Monday.

Dare was a perfect 4-0 last week, winning a pair of No. 1 singles matches and two more No. 1 doubles contests.

Against Chatham last Monday, she swept Beth Wolensky 6-3, 6-2 and paired with sophomore Jenn Tolbert for an 8-4 win over Wolensky and Sarah Steward as FSU downed the Cougars 7-2 for its first win of the year.

In a 6-3 loss to Penn State Altoona last Wedneday, Dare edged Joanna Paul 6-4, 7-6 and joined Tolbert for a 9-7 victory against Paul and Brianna Allianello.

Dare is 5-8 in singles play and 7-5 in doubles action this season.
