Douglas Baer Honored With Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award at FSU

Douglas Baer, Frostburg State University’s director of Office of Leadership and Experiential Learning, has been honored with the Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award at the 2014-2015 FSU Leadership Awards Reception.

The Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award recognizes a faculty or staff advisor at FSU who helps students overcome obstacles, grow as individuals and learn how to triumph as a team.

Baer is a passionate advisor for multiple organizations. Each week, he provides support and encouragement for Phi Mu Delta, the national fraternity. Baer has also nurtured LEAD – Learn Empower Act Develop – an organization seeking to foster leadership development for all FSU students. In addition to all the work Baer does here on campus, he has traveled to China, Dubai, Prague, India, Uganda and the Amazon Rain Forest with FSU President’s Leadership Circle students to help them to see all the wonders of the world.
