Emmanuel Episcopal Church and FSU Present Choral Evensong

Emmanuel Episcopal Church and the Frostburg State University Department of Music will present a Choral Evensong Sunday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal, 16 Washington St. in Cumberland.

The Evensong program will feature the FSU Collegium Musicum and the Emmanuel Episcopal Chancel Choir under the direction of Dr. Karen Soderberg, accompanied by Kimberly Andrews and Mark Stotler.

The program includes Arvo Pärt's "Magnificat," Henry Purcell's "Let My Prayer Come Up," Alexandre Grechaninoff's " 'Niñe otpuschcháyeshi,' Op. 34, No. 1 (Te Deum)," "Ave Maris Stella" by Xavier Busto and "Laudate Dominum" from the "Vesperaes solennes de confessore" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, performed by soprano Elizabeth Collins from Greenbelt, Md.

The program is free and open to the public.
