Faust Earns ECAC All-Star Honors for Second Straight Year

FROSTBURG, MD — The postseason basketball honors keep rolling in for Frostburg State junior Kim Faust (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin), who was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference All-Star team Wednesday.

Faust, a 5-11 forward/center, was a second-team All-ECAC Southern Region selection for the second straight year. She has also earned All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference first team and second team All-Atlantic Region honors this season.

Faust led the Bobcats with 18.5 points and 10.6 rebounds per game this year, reaching double-digit scoring figures in 23 of FSU’s 26 games and recording 13 double-doubles.

Faust, who moved into ninth place on FSU’s all-time scoring list with 1,209 points, also topped the Bobcats with a 51.8 (188-of-363) field goal percentage, 53 steals and 16 blocks.

Her best games included a 26-point, 22-rebound performance against Lake Erie and a 28-point, 19-rebound effort versus La Roche. The 22 rebounds was a career-high and the second-highest single-game total in school history behind Sylvia Lee’s 27 caroms against UMBC in 1975-76.

Faust earned AMCC Player of the Week honors three times and ECAC Southern Player of the Week accolades twice during the season. FSU finished 8-18 overall and 3-9 in the AMCC.
