Faust Named Preseason All-American by Women's DIII News

FROSTBURG, MD — Frostburg State junior Kim Faust (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin) has been named a 2001 Preseason All-American by Women's DIII News, the monthly newsletter of Division III women's basketball.

Faust, who garnered honorable mention honors, enjoyed one of the finest seasons in school history last year. The 5-11 forward/center led the Bobcats with 21.4 points and 11.0 rebounds per game, was voted the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Most Valuable Player and also earned Eastern College Athletic Conference Southern Region second team honors.

Faust posted 14 double-doubles and scored in double-figures in 24 of 25 games for the Bobcats, who finished 7-18 overall.

Frostburg State opens the 2001-02 season under first-year head coach Jody Pepple at the Marymount University Tournament November 16-18 in Arlington, Va.
