Field Hockey Loses on Road to Juniata

Huntingdon, Pa — Frostburg State lost a tough road game to host Juniata College Tuesday afternoon, 3-0, snapping its two-game win streak.

Juniata opened the scoring in the first-half when junior forward Jean Silvey scored a goal in the 10th minute as the Eagles (8-4) would add two more goals in the second-half to take the shutout win 3-0.

The Bobcats (4-8) struggled offensively as they managed only two shots on the tough Eagle defense.

Sophomore goalie Kristin Cousin (South River/Edgewater, Md.) made six saves in net for the Bobcats while senior Katie Walker (North Carroll/Hampstead, Md.) added a defensive save for the visitors.

Frostburg State returns to action on October 12th when it travels to Catholic University at 2:00 p.m.
