Football Announces Weekly Award Winners

FROSTBURG,MD — Frostburg State head football coach Rubin Stevenson announced the team's weekly award winners from Saturday's 28-12 win over Apprentice.

Sophomore running back Matt Swanke (Baltimore, Md./Landsdowne) earned the team's Game Ball after carrying 15 times for a career-high 115 yards and a touchdown while also catching four passes for 24 yards.

Swanke was named the Atlantic Central Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week as well.

Sophomore linebacker Jeremy Blanck (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) took home the team's Hammer Award by making six tackles, including an assisted sack. One of hits knocked the helmet off an Apprentice player.

Junior Nick Quisgard (Baltimore, Md./John Carroll) earned the Special Teams Award after hitting field goals of 38 and 39 yards and converting 2-of-3 extra point attempts.

Junior Melvin Bond II (Baltimore,Md./City College) and freshman T.J.Changuris (Frederick,Md./Seneca Valley were named Scout Team Players of the Week.
