Football to Host Wesley in ACFC Showdown

FROSTBURG, MD - Frostburg State hosts league rival Wesley in a much anticipated match-up of the top two teams in the ACFC Saturday at Bobcat Stadium. The Bobcats currently sit atop the conference with a 1-0 record, while Wesley is playing its first league game of the year.

The Bobcats snapped a two-game losing skid with a 48-14 pounding of Oberlin last Saturday in Ohio. FSU, which averaged 311.0 passing yards over its first three games, turned to the running attack and amassed a season-high 293 yards on the ground in the blowout.

Wesley brings a 3-1 record to Frostburg after getting past NAIA opponent Allen, 22-13, last Saturday. Senior quarterback Curtis Long threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns, and the Wolverines recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown and recorded a safety on a bad punt snap that sailed out the back of the end zone.
