Frostburg State Athletes Named To AMCC All-Academic Team

GIBSONIA, PA — Frostburg State University had 48 student-athletes named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Academic All-Conference Team. All selections must have a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade point average through the 2006 fall semester.

More than 500 student-athletes have been selected from the league's 11 member schools - Chatham, Frostburg State, Hilbert, La Roche, Lake Erie, Medaille, Mount Aloysius, Penn State Altoona, Penn State Behrend, Pitt-Bradford and Pitt-Greensburg.

More than 100 of those individuals will be inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national collegiate student-athlete honor society. Chi Alpha Sigma recognition requires that a student-athlete letter in a varsity sport, achieve a minimum 3.4 GPA, and be of good moral character. Induction is limited to juniors and seniors.
