Frostburg State Third in the AMCC Presidents' Cup Standings

GIBSONIA, PA — Frostburg State University is third in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Presidents’ Cup Standings at the conclusion of the fall sports season.

Penn State Behrend leads the race with 45 points on the strength of three championships (women’s cross country, men’s golf and women’s tennis) and three runner-up showings out of the seven fall sports.

Penn State Altoona is second with 39 points, while Frostburg State is third with 35 points.

Frostburg State captured conference titles in men’s cross country, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball, but Penn State Altoona holds slight lead thanks to four second-place and three third-place finishes.

The AMCC began presenting the Presidents’ Cup in the 2000-01 academic year. Penn State Behrend won the first three all-sports titles; Frostburg State captured the crown last year.
