FSU Activities for Life Center Announces Hours for Climbing Wall

The Frostburg State University climbing wall, a state-of-the-art indoor rock climbing practice facility, is open to the public four days a week. through the Activities for Life Center.

The climbing wall is open to the public for a small fee Mondays from 6 to 10 p.m., Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wednesdays from 6 to 10 p.m. and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. Additional hours and fees are available for climbing parties.

The climbing wall, in room 170 of the Cordts Physical Education Center, is a perfect place for someone who wants to try rock climbing, or for beginning climbers to learn the basics and for advanced climbers to refine their skills and experiment with new moves. The 35-foot vertical section of the wall features four lanes with many challenging routes, including overhangs. There is also a 50-foot traverse with a number of features, including a challenging bouldering cave.
