FSU Activities for Life Center to Offer Beginner Tumbling Class

The Activities for Life Center at Frostburg State University will offer a Beginner Tumbling class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from Sept. 17 to Oct. 24, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The class will be held in the Cordts Physical Education Center Room 170. The class, which is limited to 10 students, is for children between the ages of 5 and 12 who have little or no formal tumbling training.

Beginner tumbling class will include activities such as headstands, handstands, cartwheels, rolls, backbends and other simple movements. The most advanced stunts will be front and back walkovers, which will not be performed until the tumbler has perfected all pre-requisite stunts, set by the instructor. The class is designed to teach flexibility, strength, and muscle control. Advance registration is required.
