FSU Introduces Five New College of Business Faculty Members

The College of Business at Frostburg State University has welcomed five new faculty members: Ryan Kentrus, Dr. Tae-Nyun Kim, Dr. Mark Lennon, Dr. Suzanne McCoskey and Chelsea Wassell.

Kentrus has an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in business from Frostburg. Kentrus was hired in 2007 as a research assistant and has taught as an adjunct instructor for the Department of Management. His expertise is in the fields of business ethics, leadership and human behavior and new business ventures. Kentrus is also a life fitness management coach and certified personal trainer.

Kim is an assistant professor of finance. He received his Ph.D. from Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey; and his master’s of Applied Statistics from Ohio State University. Kim previously worked as a lecturer and doctoral candidate at Rutgers Business School. His research interests are in corporate finance and banking. His teaching interests are in corporate finance, investments and financial markets and institutions.

Lennon is an assistant professor of international business. He received his Ph.D. in Strategy and International Business from the University of Rhode Island and his MBA from Northeastern University College of Business. Lennon brings much experience to the classrooms through his nine years of teaching focusing on Strategy and International Business. With a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese and Chinese languages from Williams College, Lennon will be a strong asset for FSU’s growing global contacts.

McCoskey is an assistant professor in economics. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Syracuse University and her master’s in Applied Statistics. McCoskey’s experience ranges from teaching at the U.S. Naval Academy and the State Department Foreign Service Institute to the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Specializing in micro and introductory macroeconomics, she has regularly taught economic development, international trade and finance, economic statistics and econometrics. Her current research is on foreign direct investment, specifically in Africa. McCoskey is fluent in German, French, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.

Wassell has a MBA and bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Frostburg. As an outstanding student, Wassell also served on the Student Advisory Board, the Curriculum Committee, was a VITA volunteer, member of the Accounting Association and a four-year member of the volleyball team for four years. She plans to obtain her CPA within the next year and then pursue her Ph.D. in Accounting starting next fall.
